The Hong Kong Buddhist Association Cup (本會截期日:2024/09/05)

To celebrate the opening of the Hong Kong Buddhist Association green at Tung Chung, the Hong Kong Buddhist Association is organising the Hong Kong Buddhist Association Lawn Bowls Cup 2024 in October. The Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China is a co-organiser of the event.

Entries fee $400 per team. A maximum of 48 teams.

Condition of entries:

Mixed competition with any gender combinations are allowed.
All affiliate clubs may nominate their teams to participate.
Round Robin and Knock out format.

Entries deadline: Monday 9^th September 2024

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the winner, second, joint thirds and quarter-finalists.

Provisional conditions of play extracts:

Fours. Two bowls per player.
A time limit of 55 minutes and 8 ends will apply for all matches. Matches will commence as signified by the duty official.
When time is up but a valid jack was delivered, the end will continue.
A jack in motion which goes out of bound or has otherwise become dead will be re-spotted to the fixed spot named “T” on the diagram, which is 2 metres from the ditch.
No trial end.
No visit to the head.
Lead, Second and Third to remain at mat end until after delivery of the second bowl of the Third of both teams.
In view of the tight schedule, all players are reminded to play with a smart pace, refrain from prolonged deliberations and be swift when crossing the rink. The duty official may take action against an act of slow play at his/her discretion if the progress of a match is deemed to be delayed.

Substitution rules:

Only one substitute is allowed in each match. A minimum of 3 original players have to play in each match.
A substitute is not allowed to be Skip in any match irrespective of the number of matches played.
No team is allowed to play with less than 4 players.
