For the celebration of National Day in October, the 2022 National Day Cup is organized by the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association and subvented by the LCSD.

Date: 1 st & 2 nd October, 2022 (Sat & Sun); (Fall-back Date: 4th October, 2022)

Venue: Private Clubs and Public greens in Hong Kong. Finals at KBGC.

Entries fee: $1000 per team. Maximum quota of 240 including teams from the HK Squad and HKLBA.

Condition of entries:

1. Teams of 4 players in any gender, i.e. men only, women only or mixed.
2. A) Club Teams
   Maximum entries from each member club are based on the number of teams they have in the Premier League 2022 plus one guaranteed entry. (e.g. BBB club had 4 Men teams and 2 Women teams in the Premier league 2022. They can enter a maximum of 6 + 1 = 7 teams in this event.) Clubs which do not participate in the Premier League 2022 are guaranteed one entry each. Clubs with interest exceeding their guaranteed quota are welcomed to enter a draw from the pool of vacant places to decide the right to entry. All club entries will be given the priority. Convenors are required to return the completed entry form to the HKLBA before the entry deadline.
   
   B) Independent Teams
   Any vacancies left in the pool after the club entries will be made available to affiliated club members who would like to mix with other club players and form their own teams. It will be on a first come first serve basis and would only be confirmed after payment is received. Interested parties should fill in the web application form (https://forms.gle/X8FYgXwqWERz7UMy5) AND the entry fee with cheque payable to the “Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association” must be submitted / sent to:
   Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association Room 2010, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay,Hong Kong.
   
   Payments must be received by the HKLBA no later than 12 th September 2022. All teams must follow the HKLBA dress code mentioned in bye-law 1.17. Team names will be assigned by the HKLBA.

TPLBC Entries deadline: Wednesday 7th September, 2022 23:59

Prizes: Top 64 teams will be awarded prizes (subject to the final number of confirmed entries).

Provisional conditions of play extracts: Two bowls per player. Sets play. Two sets of 3 ends. All ends in both sets must be completed. No tie-break or extra ends are required in the round-robin stage. Time limit may apply. The jack will be placed by the Skip at a legitimate point on the center line. The Duty Official will not entertain any request for measurement of jack length. Dead jack to be re-spotted to the 2-metre mark commonly known as the “T”. No head visit. Lead, Second and Third to stay at mat end before delivery of the Third’s second bowl. Full conditions of play to be issued with the draw and fixtures.

Substitution rules: Only one substitute is allowed in each match. A substitute is not allowed to be the Skip in any match irrespective of the number of matches played. A minimum of three of the original players have to play in each match. No team can play with only three players. Players and substitute in a team may not play in another team.

Precautionary Measures related to COVID-19: All participants are required to take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on the day of the event. Only those who can produce proof of negative RAT result and a BLUE Vaccine Pass Code are allowed to enter the venue and take part in the competition.
